Our Mission
Discipling families to make Jesus first in every area of life
Families in Suburban Houston areas are often nominally theistic. They believe in the existence of God, but their commitment to God varies greatly. God is someone they look to when they have time.
Through intentional discipleship based on community small groups and intimate discipleship groups, the landscape of the 99 corridor will not be marked by families frantically running from work to school to entertainment all while careening towards Hell at worst and spiritual starvation at best. Instead, it will be marked by pockets of families steadily dedicating themselves daily to God, choosing to be different because they have been found and loved right where they are.
Ultimately, God will place a mission on their hearts to reach their neighbors both in their own neighborhood, and the neighborhoods of great need around them.
To build bridges from Jesus to you, your family, and your community
Everyone likes to look perfect to their community. This is especially true of the suburbs. Suburbs, often full of growing families with young children, place a great emphasis on outward appearances: driving the right car, enrolling your kids in the right sports, and taking the right vacations. None of these elements is wrong in and of themselves. But if they are someone’s purpose in life, it leaves them feeling hollow and shallow. Worse, when the storms of life come, there are no real places to turn because authentic vulnerability is shunned.
Grace Bridge Church will offer the families of Northeast Harris County and the something better: transformation through Jesus Christ. Not a transformation based on earthly success and looking like you have it all together, but a transformation based in the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ.
Mothers and Fathers, grandparents, and children need to chase something that will last into eternity. Our church will help point the way and walk alongside them in this journey through the good and the bad.
Transformation does not happen on accident.
We encourage participation in growth groups that focus on making Jesus the first priority in our lives and our households. Growth group participation is required for church members.
Mentoring and accountability relationships are offered and encouraged.
Sunday gatherings focus on understanding, celebrating, and applying the Word of god through the Holy Spirit in order to live transformed lives.
The Bible is the final say in how we live our lives and in how we love others.
We give our time and resources towards our mission of transforming families here, next door, and around the world.
10% of our undesignated offerings go to Great Commission efforts, including missions and church planting.
Our budget is open and accessible to any church member.
We strive to be generous with our church family by sending out those who are called to plant more churches.
We are not transformed in isolation.
Growth groups are characterized by grace and understanding, not judgment.
Honesty and accountability are expected from members of our church, from the elders to the children.
We fellowship inside and outside of church gatherings.
We are not transformed by only loving those who look like us, talk like us, or worship like us.
Our preferences are secondary to our desire to reach our community and neighbors with the Gospel.
We lead service projects that meet the needs of our surrounding neighborhoods.
